A couple was attacked at their doorstep as they were returning home to their flat in Tampines on Monday night.
39-year-old Li Wencheng and his wife Yuanxiu, 42, both fish soup sellers at the food court in Tampines One, were about to unlock their gate when Mr Li saw an angry man charging toward them from a staircase near their flat on the 13th floor of Block 716, Tampines Street 72.
"Before I could react, he slashed me in the head and blood gushed out," a still-shaken Li told Today from his hospital bed. He had sustained injuries to his head, face and left arm.

"We've told everyone back in China how good and safe Singapore is -- how do we explain to them now about what has happened to us?" he said.

We are also told back in Singapore how fantastic and talents the Foreigners coming to Singapore to create jobs - but now how to explain when these foreigners come to become hawkers, bus drivers, coffee shop cleaners, technicians, karangi man, property agents, salesman, clerks, hairdressers, delivery man, etc .... and now how to explain when they are taking jobs away from locals, congesting the transport system, drive up the public housing price, bringing their clan to Singapore, creating enclave, creating racial slur, uncouth behavior, commit crimes, etc.... 3G Singaporean Wed 27 Jul 2011 12:18 SGTReport Abuse For the past 50 years of my life in Singapore, I have seen the awesome progress my country has made on all aspects. Standard of living went up but the trend of progress and improvement somehow spluttered and then went bumping downwards in the last few years. Inflation came in but overall living environment seem to deteriorate altho' certain aspects can be considered good if one ignored all the hiccups along the way. At the same time, I noticed that composition of our society changed drastically very quickly. I am used to working with foreign professionals but suddenly everyone became a foreigner or new PR. It is quite difficult to find a fellow "old vintage" Singaporean. It doesn't need a genius or crystal ball or a million dollar minister to correlate the 2 trends. Replies (16)

They are trying to embarrass Singapore, as in trying to make the police do something extra for them by saying that statement.
Why do they need to explain to everyone back in China in the 1st place? Is the couple the ambassadors of China? Do they give weekly updates to everyone in China about their lives in Singapore?? Is everyone in China asking the couple what happened?
They do not make any sense & are as full of malice as the PRC that made fun of Singaporeans on Youtube. These are the kind of PRC that our PAP attracts... I feel sad for my country.
I used to tell my friends to support the PAP, how do I explain to them now that the PAP has pimp our PR, Citizenship like prostitutes? Whoring after foreigners that look down & wish Singaporeans ill? Replies (15)
