<p>道可道,非常道.名可名,非常名.无名,天地之始;有名,万物之母.故常无,欲以观其妙;常有,欲以观其徼.此两者同出而异名,同谓之玄.玄之又玄,众妙之门.</p><p>The Tao that&nbsp; can be expressed is not the eternal Tao.</p><p>The name that can be defined is not the unchanging name.</p><p>Not-existence is called the antecedent of heaven and earth.</p><p>Existence is the mother of all things.</p><p>From eternal existence we clearly see the apparent distinctions.</p><p>these two are the same in source and become different when manifested.</p><p>this sameness is called profoundity.Infinite is the gate whence comes the beginning of all parts of the Universe.</p>

<p>天下皆知美之为美,斯恶矣;皆知善之为善,斯不善矣.有无相生,难易相成,长短相较,高下相倾,音声相和,前后相随.是以圣人处无为之事,行不言之教,万物作焉而不为始;生而不有,为而不恃,功成而不居.夫唯不居,是以不去.</p><p>When all in the world understand beauty to be beautiful.then ugliness exists.</p><p>When all understand goodness to be good.then evil exists.</p><p>Thus existence suggests non-existence;</p><p>Easy gives rise to difficult;</p><p>Short is derived from long by comparison;</p><p>Low is distinguished from high by position;</p><p>Resonance harmonizes sound.</p>[em01][em01][em01]
