Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) is auniversity-related organization affiliated with the University of Illinois atUrbana-Champaign (UIUC) established in 2009 for the conduct of research inSingapore with founding funding from the Agency for Science, Technology andResearch (A*STAR). ADSC focuses on breakthrough innovations ininformation technologies supporting interactive cyber infrastructures that areexpected to have a major impact in transforming human’s use of information in adata-intensive technological society.
As part of our expansion drive, we are lookingfor a:
Software Engineer
Responsibilities: The ADSC audio team is working on themicrophone-array technologies for noise reduction, sound source localizationand 3D audio reproduction which are the key technologies for immersivetelepresencing, audio surveillance and remote monitoring etc. You will workclosely with the ADSC audio team for algorithm implementation and testing on PCand microprocessor (such as TI DSP) platforms. Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer/Electrical & Electronic Engineering and equivalent.
- Knowledge of Texas Instruments DSPs, instructions sets, computer arithmetic concepts, and processor architecture concepts.
- Working knowledge of DSP processor architectures, interfaces and peripherals.
- Good understanding in array signal processing theory and techniques, especially in speech.
- Ability to use Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio software development tools, TI BIOS, and DSP hardware debuggers.
- Proficient in Matlab and C/C++.
- Knowledge of USB multichannel audio interface is an additive advantage
- Excellent written and communication skills.
