Initially I had doubts this machine can evaporate in our humid Singapore climate, but this machine proved me wrong ! At night 30 d celcius, the mat can cool to 27.5 d celcius. At dry afternoon 31 d celcius, the mat can cool to 26 d celcius. A whopping 5 d celcius difference... but only achievable at maximum fanspeed. (2500rpm , not noisy) During the first 5nights I tried max fanspeed , D1 setting to constantly have the fan powered. I always woke up in the morning subconsciously grabbing my blanket or have most of my body off the mat because it was too cold... which is good performance for such a small machine with low power consumption. F2 F3 fanspeed is a balanced mix of coolness to fall alseep and morning comfort as our body metabolism slow down. Past 2 nights it's getting warm & humid again, I find myself pushing it back to F1 max cool. The machine does not have internal memory to store the fanspeed and "thermostart" user setting, you need to keep the 12v converter powered on 24/7. I would advise users to not use the ion generator extra feature as cheap electrodes can produce ozone instead of ions (from rainfall and waterfall) , ozone is toxic to living animals. Overall I like this machine very much. Very economy on the power bill and environment. It takes a few minute each day to refill 500 to 600ml of tap water. As you can see in the photo, I vent the humid air OUT the room instead of recirculating it in the bedroom. I hope this machine can last long ... The seller can make it more attractive by including adaptor plug and a water measuring jug for future buyers, doesn't cost much.
