当新加坡本地人问你，你不是新加坡人吧，到底是什么意思

我想问新加坡人这是什么意思？所以用英文写，希望回答。
I am working in Singapore as promotor job, one case is as follows,
one day i served one singaporean Chinese customer in NTUC supermarket,Before that, I knew he can understand Mandarin,so i introduced our products to him and explained to him the functions and features of the products in Chinese language. Suddenly that customer asked me: you are not Singaporean,is it? i totally confused, i didn't know what's his point for that sentence. Is there any Singaporean around here to answer me? Thank you |
