HAHAHA... love prevails over salary. I think our government is not interested in income if they get their relationship legitimate; matrimonial union. Otherwise, get her bf to impregnate your friend. I am sure our government will welcome her with a warm embrace.

On top of that, your friend should be more concerned over the future of their relationship rather than letting the salary get in the way.
I have a number of Singaporean friends who married Chinese girls. One of them who's rather well to do got into a very severe marriage crisis with his Chinese wife. While I also know another not so wealthy ex colleague who married a Chinese girl getting on very well with her. It's not about the salary but how the relationship is managed that matters.
