我现在已经不指望孩子能写出什么好文章了。
能把题做完。
能少些错别字。
就行了！我已经快被折磨死了。

不止是“O"，A-level各主课也会于三天后开考，一直考到。。。12月初！

昨天，我找来考试大纲。
和孩子明确地敲定了各大题所用的时间。
希望通过计时的摹拟练习，能提高她的速度。
一天一篇范文，也不知她抄了没？

Is this way to score at O levels? So many 'model' essays about death and sex

                                                                                                        STOMPer Jason points out that many model compositions featured in an O-level learning aid involve scenarios that include death, violence and even rape. According to the STOMPer, 23 in 47 compositions are related to death.

The STOMPer said:

"I am appalled to see the amount of deaths in the model compositions of Singapore Asian Publication's 'O Level English Model Compositions' book.

"Many of the written narrative compositions involve scenarios that result in one or more parties getting hurt or killed.

"Students should not be learning such scenarios, especially the more morbid ones which would certainly be a head-turner for the examiner.

"As creative as some of these stories are, they may end up imparting wrong views to its readers such as suicide or getting involved in gang-related activities.

"One of the stories even includes an individual playing a "game" risking his life for $1000, in which he of course dies a very gory death.

"In 47 compositions, 23 are death-related. That number is nearly half of the entire list. In addition to this, 3 are gang-related scenarios and there is one involving a planned terrorism attack."
