从7月1日起，公积金特别户头最低存款将从目前的3万元提高到4万元。而且，利息也不再是固定的。

公积金投资计划—特别户头（CPFIS-SA）存款投资门槛从 $30,000 调高至 $40,000

从 2010 年 7 月 1 日起，公积金会员将无法动用公积金投资计划（CPFIS）特别户头（SA）内的首 $40,000 存款进行投资。

如果您目前因为使用公积金投资计划-特别户头（CPFIS-SA）进行投资，而无法在特别户头中维持 $40,000 的最低存款额，则没有必要立即变卖投资。但是，一旦您将投资变现，就必须在特别户头内维持 $40,000 的最低存款，方可继续投资。

普通户头必需维持的最低存款额没有改变——您将能继续使用普通户头首 $20,000 之外的款项进行投资。

Raising the Threshold for CPF Investment Scheme-Special Account Investment

From 1 July 2010, the first $40,000 of members’ Special Account balances will no longer be allowed to be used for investments. Given the higher risk-free interest rate on the Special Account, it is better to be more conservative than to subject these savings to the uncertainty of CPFIS returns.

There is no change to the requirement for members to set aside $20,000 in the Ordinary Account before they can invest their Ordinary Account monies.

1. I have bought investments under CPFIS-SA. Will the restriction on
investments for the first $40,000 in SA affect me?
Members will still be able to use sums above $40,000 in their SA to
invest. If you have already bought investments under CPFIS-SA but
do not have $40,000 in your SA, you will not be required to sell them.
However, when you liquidate these investments, you would not be able
to re-invest them unless you have at least $40,000 in your SA.
2. When will the change be implemented?
The change in the CPFIS-SA investment threshold will be effective
from 1 July 2010.
3. Would the ** be raising the threshold any further?
There are no plans at this moment to further raise the threshold beyond
$40,000.
