Weare exploring new ways to protect the general population against influenza –both the new H1N1 and seasonal flu.
The CHIP trial – “CHloroquine for Influenza Prevention” – is a research studythat is investigating whether chloroquine, a simple and well-known medication,might prevent flu. Chloroquine is taken by mouth and is an idealcandidate for the prevention of influenza. It can be taken once weekly,has been in widespread clinical use for over 50 years and is known to be safe.
We arelooking for healthy volunteers between the age of 18 and 65 for this research.The trial is over aperiod of 3 months, with a visit at the beginning and the end of the trial.
